WebQuests are a great method for allowing students to find information on a given topic out on their own. They are able to collaborate and work together to complete a task. In this type of assignment, the educator is allowed to step back from direct instruction and focus on facilitating the instruction.
Below is a link to a Social Studies WebQuest for my 5th Grade Students. My WebQuest takes my students on a journey deep into Nashville. With the WebQuest, they will take a visitor from their home to Nashville. They will need to get them here via whatever kind of transportation they can, find a hotel for them, places for them to eat, and attractions for them to see. So many of my students rarely get to visit Nashville, and I thought this WebQuest would be a great way for them to do some virtual sightseeing!!
